I’ve just heard the Earth-shattering news. The headline from Variety, July 23rd:
Lou Adler, who produced the original cult classic has joined forces with Fox Studios for the remake. Variety magazine stated that the film will “use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brien but may also include music not featured in the original.”
To fans of the original 1979 film, I don’t have to say a word to express how completely wrong this production would be. To those reading this post who have not seen the classic, I can sum up my position in seven words: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
The same argument is supported at GettheBigPicture.net, which went on to say that “it’s a phenomenon completely unto itself, an event unlike any other in its original version.”
With that debate aside, another grand question remains: who would you elect to be the new Dr. Frankenfurter?

I can’t believe that they woyuld do this!!Why is actually a better question?Its been an all time cult-classic favorite for 33 years and still going super strong!!:Leave it up to mtv to ruin a classic and im not suprised.they cannot and I repeat cannot remake another frank character like Tim Curry invented!!They just can’t and why would they even try.Just the idea of a remake angers fans bad…if they do go with the remake,I personally hope and it most likely will come back on them bad…anyone else agree?
