Al Haig Parlayed Public Service to Make Millions Peddling Cluster Bombs

by Jon Greenbaum

As the beltway pundits line up to pay tribute to what a great patriot and public servant Al Haig was, please stop to

In 1980, Salvadorean national guardsmen raped and murdered three U.S. nuns, Maura Clarke, Ita Ford and Dorothy Kazel, and a church worker, Jean Donovan. The crime occurred while Reagan was financing rightist forces in El Salvador. Haig responded by saying the vehicles the nuns were riding in may have tried to run a roadblock.

consider how he used the usual DC revolving door to parlay his public service into millions and millions and millions of dollars as a lobbyist hack for dictators and cluster bomb merchants. And let’s not… forget his war crimes while in the Nixon and Reagan administration, supporting the genocidal Suharto regime, apartheid in South Africa and on and on.

Think about this as the overpaid cable pundits open up their pie holes to spew praise.

Twelve-year-old Mohamed Samer Elhaz Moussober. Mohamed was running from attacking Israeli warplanes and hid behind a tree where he came into contact with unexploded cluster bomb balls.
