The above title was lifted directly from this peice in the Huffington Post, because I believe it to be the best phrase in the whole thing. The story is about George Bush’s latest “Working Holiday,” this time to support his new crap-apalooza about energy policy.
Ha! Energy policy! I think that this is about the biggest non-starter of his presidency. No one ~ and I do mean no one ~ could possibly fall for the notion of this president as the harbinger of oil independance. Even people who don’t follow politics understand that he’s an oil man, and rich, and no one is falling for any of it.
Particularly since the reason they needed to change the narrative was because the Medicare implementation was such a complete foul-up. In fact, I’ll bet a fair amount of people would prefer he just left everything the way he found it, and just sat on his hands until he left office. In truth, that would likely be his greatest contribution to our country.
