East High School Cafeteria on Lockdown?

Just getting reports via News 8’s twitter account, but it appears as though a student with a cell phone inside the cafeteria is texting her mom that there is a lockdown in the lunchroom. It seems that police dogs have been deployed to the school because someone has brought a gun.

Here at DFE, we take student reports with a very large grain of salt. But what the hell is going on?

I'm not sure how I found this. But I'm Jared Palma. I am a senior at East High School. Last year, there was a lockdown. I was in the cafeteria when the lockdown happened. This is a little late, but I want to tell you what happened. A student, Jakee Banks, who I had classes with 9th grade year, brought a gun into school by cleverly placing inside a black winter knit hat and put it on the table beside the scanners at the front entrance. Sentries didn't check the hat at that time, so it was easy for him to just walk in with it. His intent was to sell it in school. Somebody he showed the gun to told an administrator and he was taken aside for protection. It was then that the school was put on lockdown. All doors were locked and all students remained where they were. I personally was in the lunch room. There was a blood pressure machine in the side of the lunch room I was in. Jakee was in the same side I was in at the time, and when he heard the cops were in the school, he gave the gun to a female friend to stash it behind the blood pressure machine. The police dogs came and the police searched the lockers and the classrooms. My locker wasn't closed all the way, so I was kind of mad. I got over it, lol. The whole time I was locked in the lunch room, kids were throwing full milk cartons, fruit, even garbage cans at each other. I almost got into a fight with another student because I got hit with a strawberry milk. Around 1:00 pm, the police ushered everyone from the lunch room, females and males were separated and we were forced through the scanners again. And then searched by hand by the police. After we were searched, we were all asked to go and sit into the auditorium where the principal and a police officer explained what was happening (as if we didn't already know) Lol. Word travels fast in the school. We were dismissed from school around 2:00pm to the entire school surrounded by flashing police lights and news reporters in the McDonald's parking lot. My uncle, who works for the school district wasn't even able to get into the school. I had called everyone I could while I was in the lunch room. NOBODY was allowed to get within 1000 yards of the school.

I don't know if you will see this, but it is on here for you if you do see it. Feel free to contact me on facebook. Look for "Jared Palma" and I'm the one with the lip piercing. I do believe I am the first result.
