Mr. Boston vodka. This is the stuff of endless ridicule and derision, all of it richly deserved. I’m sure that, were Mr. Boston to be taken off the market, the citrus growing industry would be highly impacted.
And as it happens, Mr. Boston is made by Constellation Brands, right here in Fairport. Can you believe it? Or at least, it used to be. The Rochester Business Journal is reporting today that Constellation Brands is selling off a number of its product lines, including this one.
Aw. Think of all the comedy we missed out on!
But on a serious note: this doesn’t look too good for Constellation if they’re selling off product lines. They’re looking to try to lower their debts with this move, and they’ve lowered stock earnings expectations as a result of this move.
