Dumbest. Political. Ad. Email. Ever.

I don’t even know what to say. Just read it:

Dear Thomas,

It’s Shark Week! And the Food Network is celebrating with… grilled shark recipes?

From shark tacos to grilled shark with pineapple salsa, Food Network’s many media properties have promoted shark recipes for years.

Nearly one-third of shark species are threatened with extinction. And when sharks are hunted by humans for food, their populations are decimated, and ocean environments can become dangerously unbalanced.

Food Network is contributing to the decline of our oceans by continuing to highlight shark meat recipes.

Change.org member Jessica Belsky started a petition calling on the Food Network to stop promoting the consumption of shark meat. It’s gaining momentum, and she’s trying to hit 5,000 signatures before Shark Week ends.

Will you click here to sign the petition?

Thanks for being a change-maker,

– Michael and the Change.org team
