Up until quite literally the last minute of this week, I would have told you that the Look A-Hookah store drilling incident was going to be the hands-down wackiest shit you’d hear all week. Boy, was I ever wrong. Christine Wright Darrisaw was arrested on Friday for threatening to kill the President of These United States back on February 24. But… well, it’s the picture that really sells this one…
Ok, I’m not going to lie: I read the affidavit and boy, oh boy, did the local media miss out on all the fun. I’m going to need to write another post immediately after this one. Enjoy and get ready!

This is one of those crimes where you have to wonder how pissed off you have to be… and how much extra time you must have on your hands. Dude (allegedly) climbed up to the roof of Look-ah-Hookah and proceeded to drill not one, not two, but 65 holes in the roof. I get that the leaking water did a lot of damage. But seriously: wouldn’t busting a window have been quicker and easier?

This borders on a social engineering attack. Beyond the question of whether you have a right to privacy as you define it on the Internet, the idea that you would voluntarily give up username/password combinations is insane. Especially since most of us end up repeating those combinations for more than one account.
